General Healing
1)...First step to healing is to attend to the Administrator, and His council first ALWAYS and then to the worse injured second, offering them a Kanda leaf for the pain, asking them to chew but do not swallow.
2)...Find out what the injuries are and where they are located. ((If a spar, someone will be logging it and will PM to you what the injuries are))
3)...Mix together in the bota, some green powder and warm paga for washing out the wounds, never give it as a drink, it is for wounds only..
4)...If the bleeding is heavy then cauterize the wound. The cauterization irons are located in the Healer's cabin, please ask someone to get it for you, as one never leaves the side of the victum.
5)...To numb the area where stitching may be involved, use Kanda salve around the edges of the wound
6)...When done with that, apply some antiseptic salve to the wound and dress it with clean rep, pad and bandages if necessary.
Things to check for:
1)...Look for any thing that may be left in the wound and carefully remove it and dropping it and have cauterizing iron near by to use.
2)...If an arrow is still in the wound, check the wound for splinters and if any is found, remove them with either a pair of tweezers or pliers..
3)...If any Free that is coughing up blood, begin checking the side of Their chest or shoulder area and if there is any wound is found there, it means They have a punctured lung...Ask the Free for permission to use the tube for it will have to enter through the skin...Then it will be necessary to put in a chest tube to the side and inflate the lung to drain the blood from it.
4)...If a Free has been hit with
a poisioned arrow, there is an antidote in the med chest...Mix it with
some tea and give it to Them first thing before doing any other healing...if
a inahan drinks of any poision, make sure to move the poision vessel to
the side so that no Free will drink from it...
a)... Treat them by giving them milk and honey and have them drink emetic
b)...After they have gotten sick to their stomach, give them the antidote.
c)...Must work quickly for the poision do, they begin working after the 3rd heartbeat and the poisioned one can be dead by the 10th heartbeat.
Field dressings are made ahead of time, they are, rawhide strips over a rep cloth, a layer of cotton and ointment...Try making field dressings in 3 posts or less for all wounds...If there is time, bathe with paga and searing any bleeding with the cauterizing iron....Then place the field dressing on and fasten it tight with raswhide.
Where things can be found:
1)...Cauterizing
irons are found in the fires that warms the Healers cabin.
2)...Supplies are
in the storage cabin.
3)...Paga is kept
in stock.
4)...Broth and
water for tea are in kettles on the fires in the Inn kitchen.
